I created this card for SC31 over at SCS. I decided to make it more masculine in nature and had decided to use this sentiment as a focal point. I have a "someday" box and this will go in that box- because I am praying the day will come when I will have someone to give this to- but even if not I figure it is a good "friend" card anyway. I see this quote and I think of the fact that it's not about the things that happened in the past- it's about looking ahead to the future and living in the present.

Scripture Sunday #1

I have decided that Sundays on my blog will be "Scripture Sundays". I have several scripture stamps and since I have been reaching for them over and over I will be posting some of those cards on Sundays.

I'm going to make this a short post :)

This is SC36 over at SCS and I combined an {ippity} set with an Our Daily Bread Designs set to create this card. The sketch calls for a square where the flower is but I am not fond of the flower so I will probably take it off before I mail this card out.

Butterflies

I created this for the LimeLIGHT sketch and Product challenge. I decided to leave it sentiment free on the outside so I can put it on the inside as needed. I pulled my colors from this lovely My Minds Eye paper. It's from the Quite Contrary line (and I got it from my LSS). Adore the colors in this one! The only two butterfly stamps that I own are the one from Devoted (the larger one) and the one from Priceless (the smaller one). I think they actually worked together nicely here.

I originally had created this for LAST week's ETSY Inspired challenge but didn't get it uploaded in time (my camera was broke and I was in the process of getting another one).

Keeping is short and sweet today- made this card for my landlord's son who graduated from high school last weekend. Hard to believe he's old enough to graduate! Obviously I went masculine in my card and used some of my favorite {ippity} stamps- Devoted.

Believe

I finally had some time to create (actually I made time tonight). I got lots of fun goodies today and so I wanted to use them right away. This will actually probably be it for the week (although I do have a masculine grad card I made) and then maybe one other card to create and post. Friday is a half day for the kiddos so 4 1/2 days with kids and then I have 8 total. It's been a good year but I am ready for summer. June will be pretty crazy and so I am sort of dreading that but it's all for a good thing.

Anyway, on to the card. I decided since my time to create is limited I would combine some challenges. I used the LL sketch and product challenge (flowers) as my guide and then decided to throw in the ETSY Inspired Challenge as well (which LimeLIGHT happens to be hosting).

Delight

Good Morning! It's the {ippity} hop! Make sure you start at the {ippity} blog for a list of participants! My card is bright today but that's because spring is in the air. This past week I have been on spring break and it was LOVELY. Thoroughly prepared me for the upcoming summer vacation- my appetite has been whetted and I want more gorgeous days just like these were. I took my colors from Stacey's Stamping Stage and her Curtain Call Color Challenge #24. These were some tough colors- well, throwing the garden green AND the tempting turquoise in there threw me for a loop but once I figured HOW I was going to fit it in there I like the final product. It's also for The Sweet Stop sketch challenge 50 (SSS50). I hope you enjoy the card and that you are able to take some inspiration from it.

One Day...

It's been a rough couple of weeks- I have had no time to stamp- and, even worse- no mojo. Thankfully, this week is spring break (woohoo- only 32 more school days with students- at least according to a co-worker). I want to welcome you to this stop on the {ippity} hop for today! I am tired and wanting to head to bed so a quick synopsis of the thoughts and challenges of this card along with the recipe and I will let you get on your way. I am not a "lot of layers" type of person lately- my time is limited so I really gravitate towards sketches that are CAS. Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenges are a great way to get some mojo flowing. I also used the colors found in this cake from Hope Stamps Eternal as my inspiration.

Now, the inspiration for the card actually came from some thoughts tonight- I have been a bit down today- I don't know if it's the weather, the season, etc. but I have been struggling with the fact that I am single. Normally, I am good with this fact- I'm content where I am but lately, not so much. I made this card to remind myself (and other friends) that One Day.... No specific purpose in mind for this card other than I thought it could be used as encouragement or just to write a sweet note on the inside... Anyway, I hope you enjoy and I'm hoping to get to the hop today! I will be back tomorrow with some sweet new images :)

I won 10 random {ippity} stamps at the release party a couple of weeks ago and they showed up this past week. I was trying to figure out how I would use some of them without the others in the set and I got the idea to try to turn the branch in Devoted into mistletoe and use pearls as berries to go with it. I used the JUGS sketch challenge and the Color Throwdown color challenge
The color challenge was to use Not Quite Navy, Ruby Red, Old Olive, and Very Vanilla.

I am using this for the LLPC040. The product to use were hearts and I used striped SU dsp paper for this "guy" Valentine card. I used red ink on the inside and the sentiment from the set on the inside. I'm going to keep my post short today :)

You Stole My Heart...

B Mine

Another Sunshine Stamps Valentine card. I used a sketch from last week (and I can't remember which one it is) to create this card. I used this adorable B Mine image from Sunshine Stamps and colored it with copic markers. Added it the flocked SU dsp and used the heart from {ippity}'s Devoted set. I will hopefully have another Sunshine Stamps card made early next week.
