Earnest Prayer

Man, it's been a crazy, busy week- parts of it have been great and other parts not so great. I did get to see my parents a couple of times (they were at a conference) and so that was good. Yesterday I did get some things done so I had time to craft. Loving this card!

Recipe:
Stamps- Gina K- Lovely Shelf
Ink- memento black, copic markers, touch twin markers
Accessories- copic spica pen

Don't forget to check out the giveaway info HERE. I'm extending this for a day (or two) since I haven't been able to be here to remind you.

Great Blessing From Difficulty

I have some sweet, sweet friends that had twins born in December 2009 at 25 weeks. They have endured a lot and doctors are just astounded by the progress they have made. This past week the boy twin was diagnosed with severe Aplastic Anemia and his sister was tested to see if she was a bone marrow match. They will find out this week if she beats the odds (25% chance that she is). Their faith through the lengthy hospital stay at birth (he tied the record at 13 oz. as the smallest baby to ever survive in the state of TN) has been so strong and I have watched them grow as individuals and a couple. This card was made for them in mind as I reflected on that and I hope and pray it brings some encouragement to them.

Patter was Sunday's Featured Stamper over at SCS. I have participated in several of Patter's Scripture challenges in the past so picked THIS ONE as my inspiration. My card is VERY LOOSELY based on her page- I kept the purple color (although mine is a bit darker) and the theme between her verse and my quote go hand in hand.

My Friend

This card was a dual challenge card- I used the current StampTV colors of pink and turquoise as my color scheme and then this sketch from The Sweet Stop. This was a great sketch- I would probably use a smaller ribbon next time and maybe attach it differently so it's not "crooked" but I did like the colors in this ribbon. I went with Regal Rose as my pink and Ocean Mist (from Gina K) as my turquoise. LOVE these two colors together! Enjoy!

Recipe:
Stamps- Lovely Shelf, Taglines (both Gina K)
Ink- black, copic markers
Paper- Regal Rose, Ocean Mist, SU dsp, white
Accessories- pearls, ribbon, nestabilities, punches, buttons, twine

I created this card for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge and the Color Dare Throwdown to use Baja Breeze, Basic Black or chocolate, and sahara sand.  I'm loving this new set from Gina K Designs.  It's designed by Carolyn King and 100% of the profits go toward Alzheimers.  A cute set and a GREAT cause!
