Another Patrick Thank You

I made this to go along with the mini pizza box a few posts down.  Again, I am just loving the digi images from Sunshine Stamps.  For right now they are free but very soon they will be available for a nominal fee.  Check it out and see for yourself how cute they are!  I left the inside blank but someone commented in my previous post that this didn't have to be just a thank you for a policeman (although this would be GREAT for kids to make cards with and take to a policeman- hmmm.... I'll have to keep that in mind for my first graders).  It can also be a thank you for rescuing me type of card.  Anyway, here's another Patrick card.  I used my new Label 1 Nestabilities that I recently got!

Introducing Patrick Patrol Car!

In contemplating what I wanted to do to show off this image I decided to go with a mini pizza box.  The tutorial for this can be found over on Splitcoast and then click on the resources tab at the top.  I have made several of these and this would be perfect to put some candy or a large cookie to say thank you and take to the police station.  I struggled on how to color this car and finally searched for police car images (there are a ton by the way and you can't go wrong!).  You can grab Patrick for yourself over at Sunshine's Stamps.  Just send Sunshine an email and he's yours.  I made a matching card which you'll get to see later in the week!  And, don't forget to join us next Saturday for another release!  Releases are at 5 P.M. Central!!

Lenny is Missing You

My only nephew lives 6 hours away and I haven't seen him since early May.  I'm REALLY hoping to get the chance to go see him in a couple of weeks if not a week from tomorrow.  I'm in wait and see mode - waiting on my sister to find out some info.  Anyway, I thought I would send him a card and since he loves any type of construction vehicle Lenny was perfect to use.  You can find Lenny at Sunshine Stamps (click either the sun blinkie or the Sunshine Stamps graphic to the right and they will take you right there.  Anyway, without further rambling here he is and the deets!  Don't forget to check back on Saturday evening for the complete post of the sneak peek below!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable evening last night. I pray that you enjoy your 2009. Have you set goals? I have but I don't consider them resolutions. I haven't written them out and I need to do that before I share them publicly. But, one of my goals is to update my blog more regularly- I'm not committing to every day but I will update on a more regular basis. So, here's the first post of 2009- with a card I made in 2008. I made this as a set of cards to give to my mom, dad, or sister.

TIlda card and whiff of Joy Guest Design Team Call

Well, I didn't make the last one but I thought I would try again. I had a lot of fun with this one and it's good because I need another "just because" card. So, if nothing else, these challenges are stretching me and helping me add to my stash! Here's the Whiff of Joy Guest Design Team Call and here's my card. I used either a PIF image or a WRAK image of Tilda by Magnolia.

I used all new SU colors and colored her with my prismas!

Verve Sketch 2

Here was VERVE sketch 2 using a 6x6 page as a OSW. This one went a bit easier but still not my favorite. Actually I like this one- I think I just had a hard time putting it together. I really wanted to use a Christmas image with these colors but I didn't have one handy the size that I needed.

I've been a bad blogger

I've been so slack- but really it's been a week of not leaving school before 5 (6 on Thursday but 4 on Friday). We have our accreditation this week so everything has to be PERFECT! So, I've been staying to work on that. After Wednesday my next chore is to pack everything that belongs to me in the classroom so that it's ready for the end of school and in case I get my transfer. Have I mentioned that every single night with the exception of maybe one or two nights in the month of May (up until the 23rd) are completely booked!

Anyway, all candy is in the mail as of Monday so be looking for it this week. I tried to put some extra goodies in all the envies. I'm going to know not to do candy for a while until life calms down.

Here's a project for you- I am part of a Chocolate lovers swap and this is what I have decided to make. I used the tutorial on SCS for a hanging treat box (it goes on a bottle). I have it filled with sugar free candy.

My Paper World Sketch

I found this sketch over on a link from Alison's blog and thought I would give it a shot. It comes from My Paper World and it was a fun little sketch. I had a harder time because my main image was so big. If I had chosen a smaller one then it might have been a bit easier. Anyway, here are the details:
