I Can Do All Things...

I absolutely love this verse- when I feel discouraged and as if I can't complete a task- this is the verse I cling to. He gives me strength- I don't have to do it on my own! Just a quick card for today- it's been a long day- 7 hours with no power (2 of them I was out and about) and I'm exhausted. I actually made this one before Thanksgiving but need to get ahead some on my blog- December is a busy month! I'm about 15 cards from my goal of 100 (and I already know what my "reward" will be) :)

He Will Give Rest

Here's my Scripture Sunday post- this is one of my favorite verses and as I head into the craziness of the week of Fall Break I knew I wanted to pull out this stamp. This is for Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp sketch challenge. Loved this sketch so much I made two cards (and the other one will appear for tomorrow's {ippity} hop).

Be Strong

Happy Sunday Morning! Today's Scripture Sunday is coming a bit late but the scripture is still applicable no matter when you read it :)

So many times I live in worry- it doesn't usually have a grip on me but there are times when it takes over my life. This verse is that reminder that it doesn't need to be that way. My hope is in the LORD and because of that I can be strong- I don't need to worry!

Give Thanks

Welcome to the Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop! Verve turns three today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! If you've already been hopping along, you arrived here from
Sankari's Sunshine Corner blog. If not, head on over to Julee's Blog (owner of Verve), for all the info on how to win prizes (after all, what's a party without presents?), and to start hopping from the beginning. If there's a hiccup along the hop, you can always head to the Master Hop List to get the full list of links.

I don't know about you but I am thankful for Verve and the dream that Julee had to start this company. I love the Plain Janes Scripture stamps that Julee produces and this one is no exception.

I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #84 as my layout and went CAS with the colors. Love the black against the Pear Pizazz!

My Help

This card was created for a recent SplitCoast color challenge to use Razzleberry, Saffron, and Baja Breeze (I think). Once I put it all together I LOVED this combo.

This verse has a LOT of meaning to me- I live near the mountains of East TN and pretty much anywhere I go I can look up and see the hills/mountains. I know that no matter what, no matter where I can look up because my help comes from the LORD! Have a blessed Sunday!

Be Strong

The Color Throwdown blog is celebrating their 100th color challenge. The colors were Regal Rose, Real Red, Baja Breeze, and Certainly Celery. My first thought was how in the world will I get that celery in (but I did). I actually made two cards for this challenge- this was the first. While working my way through the sketch challenges I am also challenging myself to use as much from the stash on my table (the scraps) as possible so that is what led to the second one being created. I'll share that another day. This could also go on Scripture Sunday but I have another one in mind for the upcoming Sunday so....

Mom

So, I ended up with a really long break- longer than I planned anyway. Grades are due this week so I have been playing catch-up trying to get everything done. Only 23.5 student days (YIKES) and the last month of school is already promising to be crazy! All that to say- I'm a little late on my Sunshine posting but here it is- I hope you enjoy. This is the Autumn wreath that you can find HERE for FREE. If you make anything with it I would love to see it so make sure you link it up! I went CAS for this card but I think it turned out pretty!

It's Anni-VERVE-sary time!

Welcome to the first ever official Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop. Verve turns two today and we’re celebrating with a hop, hop, hop! The party kicked off over on the Verve blog, so if you’ve just happened along, be sure to hop on over there to start from the beginning! And to make this party a real shindig, there’s a mystery jackpot hidden at one of the stops along the hop. One lucky commenter on that blog will win Verve’s entire August release! But of course, it wouldn’t be a mystery if you knew which blog, would it? So if you’re feeling the love, give a little shout out to the bloggers in the hop and you just might have a reason to jump for joy!

This Verve card uses both Thankful Blossoms and the Psalm 37:4 Plain Jane.  I also tried the Tole technique and popped up the center of the flower twice and the flower three times.  I'm not real sure about the technique but I love the overall look of the card.

Recipe-
Paper- Old Olive, white, Rich Razzleberry, Cottage Wall dp
Stamps- VERVE- Thankful Blossoms, Plain Jane (Psalm 37:4)
Ink- Rich Razzleberry marker, Orchid Opulence, Old Olive
Accessories- Labels 1 Nestabilities, dimensionals
Thanks for stopping by! Now it’s time to hop on over to JenMaries’s blog, for a little more Verve-y goodness.

Mother's Day card

Well, I'm home sick today- running a temp, drainage, all the fun stuff.  If it's not better by tomorrow I guess I'll be heading to the dr. on Tuesday.  I have WAY too much to do to be sick at this time of the year.  As of right now there are 8 1/2 days with students and 10 for teachers.  I have to have inventories, paperwork, etc. done soon.  Some of them are due this Friday :(

Anyway, I thought since I had some time I would post today.  The card here is the one I sent to my mom for Mother's Day.  I won one of the challenges over at Verve for the Release Party and won a $30 gift certificate.  I ordered this set- Because of You  with it.  The sentiment on the top is what I stamped inside.

Recipe:
Stamps- Verve- Because of You
Paper- Regal Rose, So Saffron, Basic Grey, white
Ink- Regal Rose
Accessories- dimensionals, giga scallop circle, mega plain circle, dew drops

Another Verve

I created this card for the special "Show your Verve" contest over on the Verve Stamps website.  I love my Verve stamps- right now I just have Plain Janes but they are some of my fave stamps.  You can go find them here at VERVE STAMPS.

Thanks for looking!  I went Monochromatic with this one because I wanted to use this particular Plain Jane and this is a bit more subdued.

Recipe:
Stamps- Verve
Ink- Brocade Blue
Paper- Brocade Blue, white, SU patterns pack II (hostess)
Accessories- SU Top Note Die cut, silk flower, dew drop

Enjoy!
