Fragile Trust

I can't believe I forgot to blog this card! This one was for the challenge that I hosted at the last VSN- my challenge was to use the cracked glass technique. I combined these gorgeous a*muse|studio papers (love the shimmery damask!) with this verse from Our Daily Bread Designs. This is probably one of my most favorite stamp sets by them- actually I just love all of the verse stamps! I'm going to try to get back to my Scripture Sundays!

Recipe:

Ink- Cranberry (a*muse)
Paper- Cherry, sugar, cherry damask (a*muse)

Here's my Scripture Sunday post- this is one of my favorite verses and as I head into the craziness of the week of Fall Break I knew I wanted to pull out this stamp. This is for Tracy's Eat Sleep Stamp sketch challenge. Loved this sketch so much I made two cards (and the other one will appear for tomorrow's {ippity} hop).

Be Strong

Happy Sunday Morning! Today's Scripture Sunday is coming a bit late but the scripture is still applicable no matter when you read it :)

So many times I live in worry- it doesn't usually have a grip on me but there are times when it takes over my life. This verse is that reminder that it doesn't need to be that way. My hope is in the LORD and because of that I can be strong- I don't need to worry!

Recipe:
Stamp- Verve
Paper- Early Espresso, Bermuda Bay, dp (MME), white

Chaos

I actually have a couple of cards that I can use but decided when I saw this paper that I wanted to use it to represent chaos and the verse as the shining point in what to do when faced with Chaos. Hope you enjoy and hold onto to the truth in this verse! Have a blessed Sunday!

Weak

I love the verse on this card- it reminds me that even if I am struggling that God is ALWAYS there for me- He is mine forever.

I made this for MTSC88- decided to keep it fairly simple color wise. Love the pop of the black on the Peach Parfait!

Busy, Busy

No Scripture Sunday card today- I started school this week (well, I have been working for the last few weeks but I had training this week on top of unpacking my room as boxes started coming in AND registering children. My brain was TIRED after I came home. I am also on a quest to be healthier so have been working out a bit more. I'm seeing the need to find a balance in all my activity so have been looking at priorities the last few days to see what can be trimmed. I think I have some ideas but I need to make sure they are what God wants me to do.

I have plenty of cards saved up that I could have used for Scripture Sunday BUT I also have a new computer for school which means I need to clean the old one off and I think I accidentally deleted my Scripture Sunday cards file. :( Guess that means I need to get busy! In the meantime I am going to direct you to Stampin' Sisters in Christ- they have a FABULOUS challenge for today and I cannot wait to get to it.

If you do this challenge after seeing this on my blog make sure to let me know- I would LOVE to check out your creation and read your story!

Amazing Grace

Happy Sunday morning! I have a multi-challenge card today that uses and ODBD verse as the focal point. Since there's so many challenges- I'm going to go ahead and link them up, show the card, and then "chat" about my thoughts behind the verse (meaning- why I chose it today).

EIC100- The Etsy Inspired Challenge #100! What a milestone and the gals (and some FAB sponsors) are hosting a grand celebration. You need to click on the link (EIC100) to go check it out! The shop is Cathy Walters and here is my inspiration piece. I took my inspiration from the theme (amazing grace) and even drew out some of the red into my card.

ODBDSLC24- Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge 24: today's challenge was to use three of something. I used 3 pearls up in the right corner.

Card Patterns sketch 76. They put up a "basic" sketch and you can embellish as necessary this week. I kept it pretty much the same except I used a rectangle instead of a circle.

Our Creative Corner - to use embossing
. I went with dry embossing using my cuttlebug

And finally- The Play Date Cafe challenge (PDCC41)- to use the colors in the inspiration photo. I used Ruby Red, Daffodil Delight, and white. FUN colors!

and the card:

Recipe:
Stamps- ODBD- Scripture Collection 2
Paper- Ruby Red, Ruby Red dsp, white, daffodil delight
Ink- black
Accessories- buttons, twine, pearls, SU scallop edge punch, cuttlebug embossing folder

I have been thinking a lot about grace lately so when I saw that pendant I knew immediately which one I would be using as my inspiration! I am so thankful for that gift of grace!

My Help

This card was created for a recent SplitCoast color challenge to use Razzleberry, Saffron, and Baja Breeze (I think). Once I put it all together I LOVED this combo.

This verse has a LOT of meaning to me- I live near the mountains of East TN and pretty much anywhere I go I can look up and see the hills/mountains. I know that no matter what, no matter where I can look up because my help comes from the LORD! Have a blessed Sunday!

Recipe:
Stamps- Verve
Ink- Rich Razzleberry
Paper- Rich Razzleberry, Baja Breeze, white, So Saffron
Accessories- flowers, pearls, cuttlebug embossing folder
