Time for some Travel Snacks!

Okay- the time has come! You have listened to me ramble on and on about my trip. I had a productive evening yesterday (got my bookcase packed up) and this morning I got my Kindergarten classroom moved down to my new 1st grade classroom. I did some shopping today and got some happy mail. I also scored some great deals in Target's clearance section and with their "college" section. At Target in Indiana this week I found a great rug for my kitchen and it has turquoise in it which is one of my all time fave colors so I have decided to go with that color for my kitchen- well, Target's college line has turq./teal as one of the colors. Let's see- I didn't end up buying anything at JoAnn's but I did got to Michael's where I got some really fun ribbon (which I'm not sharing - at least not right now).

Here's the deal: Right now I have two sets of Travel Snacks. They are both a bit different- one is scrapbooking oriented (but can be used on cards) and the other is stamping oriented. They both include a candy bar from Romania. I will post pictures but here's the deal. For every 10 comments something extra goes into each pile. Remember I am moving and have a lot of unopened stuff just lying around here. I just keep thinking- surely someone can use it. Today is Friday so I will leave this open until Wednesday, July 11 at 10:00 pm. So, share this on your blogs, with your friends, etc., because the more people comment the more stuff there will be. So, here's what I want you to comment on- I have seen on several blogs lately where they want to hear fave movie lines- mine will be a twist on that. What do you like when you are creating? Absolute quiet, the tv going (with what show/movie), music blaring (what music)? To be eligible you MUST answer this question. Consider it an informal poll and I'll post the results next week too. The other thing is that I must have a way to contact you- if you don't have a blog where I could post a comment- leave your splitcoast name. If you are a subscriber you won't have to do this because you will get the update automatically. So, if you don't leave a way to contact you please make sure you bookmark and check back (which is how I do it- then I move those blogs to another folder and check them periodically). I will post a pic of the two travel snacks tonight (just as they start out- the extras will be a surprise). Have a great day!

ETA: These pictures took forever to attach. The first is the scrapbook "stuff", the second is the card "stuff", and the third is a surprise bag. All those who have subscribe (or do subscribe) will get a chance for this bag filled with all kinds of fun goodies!.

On the scrapbook candy we have 8 1/2 x 11 paper, an 8 x 8 scrapbook, some stickers that I bought two of, 2 Hobby Lobby idea magazines, some travel die cuts, favor boxes, and the Romanian candy.

On the card candy we have baby wipes (for the baby wipe technique), a pack of 8 coasters (to alter using the SCS tutorials), the favor boxes, a small silver ink pad, the badge holders (for the recent tutorial on scs), some bic pens (for maing beaded pens), a small composition notebook, brads, round flat marbles, and Romanian candy.

The bag- it remains a surprise!

Remember- these are just the starting points- for every 10 comments more "stuff" goes in (I have a whole pile already ready to go!). Thanks for stopping by!

I like listening to music. Usually Celine Dion. She's my favorite.

It sorta depends on my mood - but most times I like it quiet...the hum of the tabletop fan & the occasional rambling of DH. Hence my blog name 'serenity in stamping' because with the quiet I can concentrate better & find my serenity in doing something I love doing. I'll post your link on my blog!

Now I will post for the great candy! I love to stamp while the soaps are on...I love As the World Turns and The Guiding Light. I have watched them both since I was very young, both my grandma and my mom watched them. So it must be a comfort thing! If I'm listening ti music I love Corrine Bailey Ray. I love the song Put Your Records On!

wow great to see another person as orgenized as me! lol. ya I put all Blog candy into a folder too!:)

ok I love to have music playing while I stamp. I can't have it loud as the boys are sleeping but I have over 2000 songs on my Itunes so I just hit random and go from there! I have things like Simple Plan to Madonna to Third day to Celine Dion. I like a little bit of everything but country! lol

My preference is to have a dvd running in the background. I listen along pretty well.

I like listening to me singing Broadway show tunes and movie songs. But now with hubby home from China, I have to be quiet. sigh.

btw-the lady who runs the local stamp store was just in Romania adopting a girl-age 11.

I record movies on my DVR and when I sit down to create, I turn one of those movies on. I may not watch the picture, but I listen as I work with an occasional glance. Gotta have something in the background.

What sweet sweet candy you are celebrating with your readers. I like listening to music on the radio. I like all kinds of music, so it depends what mood I'm in for the type of music, so I usually surf the channels. Love your blog and what creative artwork you do. Thanks for a chance.

I have a playlist on my ipod just for scrapping and stamping...it has all different things like, 3 doors down, elvis, barry manilow and maroon 5. Pretty eclectic, like me! TFS!

Looks like some sweet snacks already, but I hope you get more comments.
I like to stamp in complete silence. I love it when it's quiet. :-)

I love having music on and the chatter of friends - even my kids or hubby (the latter is not likely to happen though for more than a few minutes - especially when I'm stampin).

I just started a little blog, but not sure how to add a link here. I will try though! :) this is my blog - http://aplaceforink.blogspot.com/ (I hope that is how to add it so you can reach me!)

I like the TV on in the living room - usually on the DIY channel, just for background noise. If I have it on in the stamp room I get distracted too easily.

I like peace and quiet when I am creating. All day I run after a 2 year old and when I finally get time to sit down and create, I just want there to be silence! I can also think better when it is quiet. Great travel snacks!

Because my craft room is right by my kids' bedrooms and the only time I have to create is when they are asleep, it's always quiet in my craft room when I'm working on a project (unless my hubby comes in for a chat while I'm working).

On SCS I am cmpbaker.

I had my husband install a TV in my craft room thinking that I'd enjoy listening to Oprah, etc. while I create. Nope...I realized that I enjoy peace & quiet while working. Thank you for offering the awesome blog candy.

I like to listen to music (Kenny Chesney, Rascal Flatts, or Matchbox 20). If I have the TV on, I don't get anything done!

Hi!
When I "scrap" or make a card,I have the television on low. The sound keeps me company and that's enough for me:)

I love scrapin and stampin so much I can create in oblivion with Children playing, Husband working around me, music, tv on...I am in "THE ZONE". When I am alone, I prefer quiet (It happens so rarely) I enjoy being absorbed in what I am doing. :)

I love Target too! Mostly that little dollar section in the front. LOL! Anyhow, I like to play my iPod when I'm scrappin' on my little iDog that I got from...TARGET!

Hi!
I have a set of speakers for my ipod that I use downstairs in my stamp room. I don't have a t.v. there, so I crank the tunes while I stamp.
Thanks for a chance at some great candy!!

Wow...what awesome blog candy! I also organize the blogs that I've entered contests on. It's so nice to see other's that do the same.

What do you like when you are creating?
Well, when I set up my studio, I had to move the tv out of my bedroom into my studio. Since most of my creativity comes in the morning hours, I usually watch Judge Joe Brown, then Montel and then another hour of Judge Joe Brown while I'm stamping. I like having the tv on for background noise.
Thanks for a fun contest & a chance to win some awesome Travel Snacks.

I like complete quiet...or the sounds that are just "happening"...if I have my door open and hear birds, lawn mowing, airplanes...all natural.

What amazing blog candy!!!

when i create i have to be watching tv or a movie while stamping. I don't know why but I get so much more done. since i don't have a tv in my scraproom i bring in my laptop and watch a movie or my greys anatomy dvd's. Today I got six cards done this way. I just don't like quiet for some reason.

Thanks for giving us all a chance to win some great blog candy!

Wow, how awesome & generous of you!

Well, first of all, I get inspired when I'm sitting in church during mass and after i've gone to bed.

So, when I put those inspirations to work, I like to set up my 6 disc cd player so I don't have to break away from creating. It has a variety of music from the Rolling Stones to Shania Twain to Green Day. I like it to be up beat and fast.

When I have time to stamp it's usually when my 2 year is napping so I have the radio on low, since my stampin area is right below her room.

when i stamp, i usually like it to be bright and quiet. i'm still very new, so i need to really concentrate... :)

Sometimes I like complete quiet. But alot of the time I listen
to the Tigers on tv while stamping.

Who's your Tiger?

I almost always watch TV. Whatever is on my Tivo. My favorites are Little People, Big World, The Closer, and Gene Simmons Family Values.

Generally I have complete silence when I am in "creating" mode since that time is when my little rascal son is sleeping, so the house is quiet as a mouse and I hide out in my little room being as busy as I can while I can :)

WOW! I found another wonderful blog! I am definiately subscribing to it and putting it in my saved folder.

On to the question: I LOVE really upbeat music, like Top 40's music. It keeps my creative juices flowing! I also have to have my window open for the outside view.

Hi, looks like some great goodies! I like to stamp in peace & quiet! Just can't concentrate if there's noise. I've bookmarked your site. Thanks!

We usually have the tv going 24/7. I can't stand it in my house without some background noise, even if I'm not watching it, I kind of listen. Awesome goodies! My husband went to Romania on a mission trip 9 years ago...he didn't bring me any candy though.
