Dreaming Dreams

I have lots of dreams- dreams mainly for the future and yes, even dreams for the present.  Goals I want to achieve- and not just achieve but smash through them with a fire and a thirst for more.  I won an ippity challenge a few weeks ago and requested this stamp for my winnings.  When I saw it- it reminded me of all of those motivational pins I pin over at Pinterest.  Similar to the following:

Here is the card I made- which uses the ippity stamp: Happy are Those. You can find the challenge I used here: Unity Opportunity blog

Recipe:
Stamps- Happy are those (ippity)
Ink- memento black
Paper- bermuda, onyx, sugar, bermuda chevron
accessories- butterfly die, twinkle stickers, and dimensionals

Enjoy and have a blessed day!

Rain or Shine

This was a card made for another of the mini-VSN challenges over at SCS. The main VSN event will take place Feb. 25-26. We would love to have you join us. You can find details HERE! The challenge was to paper piece two different parts of an image/use two different papers. I used two different Basic Grey papers- one on the umbrella and one on the dress and boots. I actually paper pieced the jeans but then "colored" over them with copic markers.

Recipe:
Stamps- Itty Bitty by Unity
Paper- Pumpkin Pie (or could be Tangerine Tango), white, Baja Breeze, Basic Grey

Find the Joy

Welcome to FWF- love this day- I get to show off Unity stamps and "visit" with friends. Be sure to start off at the Unity blog and make sure to keep your eye out for the special blinkie because that's the blog that gives you the chance to win some Unity stamps. Got these new Unity stamps- the itty bitty's from LimeLight! Love Mandy- super fast shipping! This is for the current LimeLight Product and Sketch challenge to use pop dots. I LOVE my pop dots- I go through them quickly- so I couldn't pass up this challenge. I decided to cut my ornaments apart and arrange them on scallop punches. I actually made another card with this same stamp and wasn't all that thrilled with it so I made this one and liked it MUCH better! The paper is some of the new holiday paper from SU- didn't have any of the cherry cobbler to use on this one so I pulled the Olive out from the dsp.

Recipe:
Stamps- Find the Joy (Itty Bitty) from Unity
Paper- SU dsp, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Ink- black, copic markers
Accessories- dimensionals, su scallop circle punch, marvy punch, silver stardust pen

And, here's the "shunned" card (it's okay- just not my fave- LOVED the sketch just my coloring I wasn't fond of)

You'll want to start over at the Unity Blog- someone is going to win some fabulous Unity rubber stamps! Look for the blinkie as you make your way through the blogs and don't forget to leave a comment!

I'm going to make this very short and simple and send you on your way! This was one of the very first Unity stamps that I owned- it's one of my favorite quotes so I HAD to have it. This is for SC53 over at SCS as I work my way through them.

You ROCK

I made this card for the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge. When I saw this image I knew I could do this one no problem and since I am still working my way through the sketch challenges I decided to use SC26 which was to make a pocket card. I pulled out my (dusty) Unity stamps and put them to work. I love how this turned out but I won't be making too many pocket cards. I am putting together all of the entries for the birthday challenge- need to make sure that everyone gets all the entries they have earned- I will draw a winner on Thursday, July 1.

Easter Greetings!

Welcome to FWF! It's been spring break here and I have had a week of just relaxing (and thinking of how much I have to do before Monday- yikes!). Don't forget to start at the Unity Blog for the list of participants in today's FWF. AND, keep your eyes open for the special FWF blinkie- make sure to comment on that blog and you could have the opportunity to win 25 random stamps from Unity.

When I was trying to decide which Unity image to use I took a stroll through LimeLIGHT's Unity section and when I saw this one- I knew that with Easter coming it was PERFECT for showcasing- what is to me- the REAL meaning behind Easter. Once I picked my image (which I knew I would be using with the LimeLIGHT sketch/product focus of rhinestones) it was just a matter of choosing colors- since purple is the color of royalty I went with Elegant Eggplant and some BG.

Recipe:
Stamps- Almighty God (the current stamp is smaller as it is part of the Something Within set now)
Paper- Elegant Eggplant, white, BG Kioshi (I find mine at LimeLIGHT)
Ink- Elegant Eggplant
Accessories- SU scallop edge punch, nestabilities, white crocheted ribbon (also found HERE)

Oh, remember that FWF blinkie- guess what! I have it- make sure you leave a comment and on Saturday morning (before I go to Zumba at 9:30 EST) I'll post a winner of the 25 random Unity stamps! Thanks for looking and have a blessed Easter.

Lollipop, Lollipop

For the mini vsn challenge to choose a flag of a participating country in the Winter Olympics and create a card based on those colors. I chose Romania's flag since I have been there twice and love the colors in the flag. I also wanted to participate in the Crazy 4 Challenges current challenge to use lollipops on your card. I knew exactly which stamp I would pull out. Another non-traditional Valentine's card.

Paper- Real Red, Crushed Curry, Brilliant Blue, white
Accessories- SU Scallop punch, ribbon, cuttlebug, nesties, dimensionals, pearls

Christmas in January??

Yep, at least it is when you join a Christmas card challenge. I'm such a slacker- I didn't even send out a single card this past Christmas! I joined a Christmas card challenge over at SCS. I'm signed up to make 10 Christmas cards a month- I have 5 done. What I need to do is color a bunch of images and that way they are ready! Actually, I did that with one card for my Christmas stash but you won't see that one today. Today's card is for the LimeLIGHT sketch to use canvas. I didn't have canvas and I don't know that I really like my card all that much- I thought I would use the closest thing to canvas so I used these felt brackets from Tinkering Ink- I may take them off because I love the "quilted" look to my card.

Recipe:
Stamps- Unity
Ink- black, copic markers
Paper- Wild Wasabi, Real Red, BG Wassail and Eskimo Kisses, white
Accessories- tinkering ink, punches, top note die, ribbon

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope everyone had a safe and enjoyable evening last night. I pray that you enjoy your 2009. Have you set goals? I have but I don't consider them resolutions. I haven't written them out and I need to do that before I share them publicly. But, one of my goals is to update my blog more regularly- I'm not committing to every day but I will update on a more regular basis. So, here's the first post of 2009- with a card I made in 2008. I made this as a set of cards to give to my mom, dad, or sister.

This one went to my dad to give to my mom.

Hip Hop Hangover Friday- again :)

Here's another card made for Hip Hop!  I love the challenges that Jeanne comes up with- they are just so much fun.  Here's my 2 layer Christmas card.  If I had the Top Note die cut I would mass produce this (and that's saying a lot because I don't like mass production).

another Hip Hop Hangover post

I have been using my new Unity stamps (which I LOVE).  They stamp so nicely and I LOVE the verses/phrases/quotes that they have.  Such a wide variety.  I made this one for the Shout it Out challenge to use a phrase/sentiment as your focal point.  I also created it for the Paper Craft Planet 12 days of Christmas- Day 7 challenge for black and white.

here we go again!

I made this for the FS94 (Featured Stamper challenge on SCS).  The gallery to peruse was ebethneu- amazing gallery!  I had a hard time choosing my card.  Here's the one I cased: Unity Anniversary .  I kept the same layout and the same soft sky strip with the swiss dots cuttlebug.  I also used a Unity stamp.  I changed the background paper and used chocolate chip instead of black.  I also used chocolate Kaisercraft pearls (which I got at Limelight).  LOVE them!  They are self adhesive and come in several different sizes on the same sheet.  I used my SU markers on this stamp so I could to the ... God sentiments in the blue to stand out.

Recipe:
paper- basic grey dp, white, chocolate chip, soft sky
Stamp- Unity Stamp Co.
Ink- chocolate chip, not quite navy
Accessories: kaisercraft pearls, swiss dots cuttlebug
