Fragile Trust

I can't believe I forgot to blog this card! This one was for the challenge that I hosted at the last VSN- my challenge was to use the cracked glass technique. I combined these gorgeous a*muse|studio papers (love the shimmery damask!) with this verse from Our Daily Bread Designs. This is probably one of my most favorite stamp sets by them- actually I just love all of the verse stamps! I'm going to try to get back to my Scripture Sundays!

Recipe:
Stamps- Our Daily Bread Designs
Ink- Cranberry (a*muse)
Paper- Cherry, sugar, cherry damask (a*muse)
accessories- nestabilities, heat gun, UTEE, versamark

CAS Prayers

I made this card for the CAS challenge over at SCS. This week's was based on a sketch and I absolutely LOVE this sketch! I will definitely be using this again! I used a button from my most recent SU stash from the mini- that's the closest thing to bling that I got on this card. Don't forget to use your stash and your bling to make a card for my challenge! You can see the details HERE

Thanks for looking!

Ink- Chocolate Chip
Paper- Greenhouse Gala, PTI orange, Gina K white
Accessories- corner rounder, ribbon, button, twine

I am also entering this in the ODBD no coloring challenge!

Strength

The challenge over at ODBD for the week was New Life- I went with this verse because strength from God can lead to new life. Love that thought (also the flower symbolizes spring to me!). I used this for the card patterns sketch (which was a GREAT sketch) and the ETSY challenge. I chose THIS piece and focused on the colors

and here is my card:

Stamps- Our Daily Bread (Scripture collection 2)
Ink- Marina Mist
Paper- Marina Mist, Chocolate chip, wild wasabi, white
Accessories- cuttlebug embossing folder, button, bakers twine, su scallop edge punch, ribbon

The Grass Withers

This was from an old Card Patterns sketch (and I made this a while ago). I thought I had some Christmas cards uploaded to be edited (but they aren't there so I either forgot- or they disappeared). I am still around and still plugging my way through my 100 card challenge. Enjoy!

The LORD is my Light...

Howdy! Yep, I am still around. Life got crazy and I went out of town last weekend for fall break. I was able to go visit my nephew (and my sister and brother in law) in Columbus, OH. My nephew turned 4 on Sunday so I got to spend a little time with him and was able to spoil him a little bit. I love that little boy to pieces and hate that I am so far away.

Anyway, i am back with a Scripture Sunday post. I pulled out the very first ODBD set I ever purchased (which was the very first one they ever sold). LOVE this set (but don't use it as often as I should....).

One last thing- I am working my way through 100 cards and have now made 27 cards with 73 more to go. I haven't repeated (except for one which was unintentional). I am going to keep trying to use "new" stamps. At the end of my 100- what I may do is pull out the ones I struggled with and put them up for sale...

Chaos

I actually have a couple of cards that I can use but decided when I saw this paper that I wanted to use it to represent chaos and the verse as the shining point in what to do when faced with Chaos. Hope you enjoy and hold onto to the truth in this verse! Have a blessed Sunday!

Weak

I love the verse on this card- it reminds me that even if I am struggling that God is ALWAYS there for me- He is mine forever.

I made this for MTSC88- decided to keep it fairly simple color wise. Love the pop of the black on the Peach Parfait!

Amazing Grace

Happy Sunday morning! I have a multi-challenge card today that uses and ODBD verse as the focal point. Since there's so many challenges- I'm going to go ahead and link them up, show the card, and then "chat" about my thoughts behind the verse (meaning- why I chose it today).

EIC100- The Etsy Inspired Challenge #100! What a milestone and the gals (and some FAB sponsors) are hosting a grand celebration. You need to click on the link (EIC100) to go check it out! The shop is Cathy Walters and here is my inspiration piece. I took my inspiration from the theme (amazing grace) and even drew out some of the red into my card.

ODBDSLC24- Our Daily Bread Designs Shining the Light Challenge 24: today's challenge was to use three of something. I used 3 pearls up in the right corner.

Card Patterns sketch 76. They put up a "basic" sketch and you can embellish as necessary this week. I kept it pretty much the same except I used a rectangle instead of a circle.

Our Creative Corner - to use embossing
. I went with dry embossing using my cuttlebug

And finally- The Play Date Cafe challenge (PDCC41)- to use the colors in the inspiration photo. I used Ruby Red, Daffodil Delight, and white. FUN colors!

and the card:

Recipe:
Stamps- ODBD- Scripture Collection 2
Paper- Ruby Red, Ruby Red dsp, white, daffodil delight
Ink- black
Accessories- buttons, twine, pearls, SU scallop edge punch, cuttlebug embossing folder

I have been thinking a lot about grace lately so when I saw that pendant I knew immediately which one I would be using as my inspiration! I am so thankful for that gift of grace!

He Takes Delight in ME!

This is for the Color Throwdown challenge 104 to use Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, and Daffodil Delight. What a fun summery combo! I combined the CTD challenge with the CPS sketch challenge. Super fun sketch- perfect to use a sentiment with so I pulled out the Customer Favorites set from ODBD. I have been overly anxious about some things so I needed this reminder that HE delights in ME! Even though I don't deserve it!

Recipe:
Stamp- ODBD- Customer Favorites
Ink- Tangerine Tango, copic markers
Paper- Tangerine Tango, white, Daffodil Delight, SU dsp
Accessories- rhinestones (colored with copics), nestabilities, ribbon

Anyway, here's the recipe and I pray you have a blessed Sunday

Scripture Sunday #1

I have decided that Sundays on my blog will be "Scripture Sundays". I have several scripture stamps and since I have been reaching for them over and over I will be posting some of those cards on Sundays.

I'm going to make this a short post :)

This is SC36 over at SCS and I combined an {ippity} set with an Our Daily Bread Designs set to create this card. The sketch calls for a square where the flower is but I am not fond of the flower so I will probably take it off before I mail this card out.

Recipe:
Stamps- {ippity} Devoted; Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper- Regal Rose, white, black, BG Olivia
Ink- Regal Rose
Accessories- dimensionals, prima, brad

Today's the Day!

I'm so excited that today is the "unveiling" of the brand new Customer Request stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs. Today's going to be a quick and short post since I am typing this up on Monday night. I'm heading back to TN on Tuesday after being in Ohio for 5 days. You saw my sneak of the set last week but today I'm showing you both my card and my project. The stamps in this set are so versatile and I can't wait to play some more when I get home :)
