Welcome Back to School

YEP!  You guessed it- it's back to school time.  Barney Bus can be found at Sunshine Stamps.  As a teacher this is a VERY busy time for me but I couldn't resist taking the opportunity to play a little with Barney and VSN.

The Best Thing is You

This was created using Gina K.'s watercolor spritz tutorial over at StampTV (click the link to the right).  I used Pretty in Pink as my base color on the heart and then thumped with Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo.  I love the look this gives.  Thanks for looking.

Happy Dance for Ice Cream!

If you're here for the VERVE blog hop please scoot on down to the post below (you can look at this one too if you would like!) and check it out down there.  I'm previewing today- a sneak peek if you will- a brand new image from Sunshine Stamps.  This here is Mr. Smoothie.  I had this idea for what to make and then when I went to make it I had a hard time getting it to all come together the way I wanted.  Don't you hate projects like that?  However, once I got it all figured out this is what I came up with- I'm liking the final project.  And, I would love to hear your ideas of how you plan to use Mr. Smoothie!  I think this is just PERFECT for a child who has done something great and you are celebrating with them- add an ice cream shop gift card in there and you are good to go!  Anyway, I hope you enjoy my little project and throughout the next week if you check out the DT's blogs (over on the right) you can see all kinds of fun projects with Mr. Smoothie as well as a few other images.  These images should be available in Sunshine's store which goes live on Wednesday, August 5.  I'll make sure to post a link to the store when it's up and running!

a Gina K ATC

I created this for the Gina K Release Party challenge to create an ATC.  I love how an ATC can be used to turn into the focal point of a card.  Oh, and I won the challenge which means I got to pick a set for $23.95 or under!

First Attempt at Watercoloring

This was another card created for the DTGD challenges over on Splitcoast.  This was a watercoloring challenge.  I have never watercolored before with the aquapainter so that made it interesting.  I'll try again in the future.
