More Birthday Cards

These two cards are both made by IRL friends of mine that I have known for years. Jill's card is the one with the birthday cake

(and it sparkly in real life) and Melanie's is the one with the Paisley. I have a tendency to hoard my patterned paper and I like that she used a variety of the patterned paper here.

Another BRAK

I realized this morning that I had 8 more brak's to post (but two will be done in one post) so I needed to do some doubling up so that I can get this all done before I leave town. So, here's Misti's (scraperwannabe) card for my BRAK (I love this card because I love the colors).

Tickled Pink

So sorry for the lack of posts over the weekend. It was kind of a busy one and after VBS I needed some downtime. Anyway, I'll do one post today and then two tomorrow (at different times) to make up for the lack of weekend ones. I leave in one week from today for Romania! I am going to set up some posts ahead of time of cards that I have made and then while I'm gone everyone who comments on those posts will be in the drawing for a little goody (maybe two) when I return! So, here's today's brak and it came from a fellow flybaby. Here's LuvLee's Blog and her Gallery. As always let me know which is your fave and I'll enter you into today's random drawing. I will hopefully have all the cards featured by Wednesday- I got so many that it may take a while and they may be a few of the posts. I have at least 4 more (if not more than that). After receiving this card I liked it so much that I had to snag these images in the pif thread!

"Glamour"-ous BRAK

LOVE all the sparkles in this. They don't show up well on the picture but IRL they sparkle. She doesn't have a blog or a gallery over at SCS so I can't link you up but tell me your favorite thing you use to bring a little sparkle to your cards/projects. I HATE glitter- I think that's the teacher in me because I can't stand having it everywhere. However, I'm loving my copic spica pen (which is currently misplaced) and my stardust clear pen. Fun stuff!

Anyway, tell me here about your sparkly fun and I'll pick a random comment to be the winner of today's. I have two or three more to show and then I think I'm done! I have to take pictures of them though!

Birthday Beagle BRAK and goody

I think my favorite current card of hers though is the new thomas Kinkade one in her gallery using hometown pride. I just snagged that one from the pif thread! I'm really not a slacker, I promise

We start VBS this week and I was at church yesterday from 7:45 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. then back at 12:15 p.m. and didn't leave until about 8:15 p.m. last night. One of the rooms was having a hard time with decorating so I am going back to finish their room today. I have to go to Michael's and H.L. first though so I'm leaving here right after I post this (I have to make a Target run too). I can't get in the church until about 9:30 anyway so I have a little time. All that to say- between planning on how to decorate, updating the pif thread on SCS (I'm hostessing this one), and trying to get some "me" time I didn't have a chance to upload a card yesterday. So, here it is and if I have chance I'll do another tonight. Here's another BRAK that I received from Beverly (triasimite on SCS). I think my favorite part of this card is the image (and it's sparkly!)

It was originally going to be 2 ATC cards/2 3x3 cards and a homemade card but I have been cleaning this week in my craft area which means I'm changing it up a bit. I will be drawing a name for some surprise RAK's for commenters of the BRAKs'. I have all kinds of things including fibers, ribbons, primas, alterables, stickers, stamps, etc. You name it, well, it just might make it's way to you. However, it can't find you if you don't comment!

They started on Monday, June 2 and I'll extend it even more. I want to post a couple of things that weren't brak's so I will even include comments from those posts too!

om on SCS). I think the thing I really like about this card is that she used to CB folders (I have yet to figure out how though) and I love the white on the darker color!
