VSN weekend

Well, it was VSN time over at SCS this past weekend and I didn't participate in too many projects. I just wasn't in the "mood" to be told what to make. The projects were all awesome and so are the samples. I was just wanting to make "general" cards. I hope this doesn't offend anyone (because I don't mean to) but it just wasn't "me" this weekend.

That said- I did make one card for Jen's (genie1314) challenge because I did need a baby card. I also made another one using the same image.

I used wrak images from My Favorite Things (I believe this is Hot Stuff) to create this card. I love this card because I love the bright colors together!

First, to my snack winners- Kristina I will try to get your gift card this weekend. I am traveling this weekend to Ohio to visit with my sister and the baby. If I am unable to get to Michael's then I will plan on Tuesday afternoon heading there and sending it out Wed. Cathy, I'll get yours out Tuesday also (I haven't had a chance to finish pulling it all together- I have several things I'm sending). This week was a little crazy- eye dr. appt., open house at school, giving blood last night and church, recheck of my contacts plus packing. Crazy!

Quick Card before leaving school

It's so much faster to upload a card from school so I will do that and then fill you in on the first day later tonight. The card I'm sharing with you today was a card that I made using WRAK images from tturtle at SCS. They are from the Gel-a-tins Chocolate Bliss set. I just love these and yes, chocolate does make me happy!

On another note- I am going to include something I made yesterday. I am on the WRAK forum on SCS and have received several images. I have a tendency to put the envelopes down and then forget where I put them so I decided to create something to hold onto them. Target has the back to school stuff in their dollar spot and I found a check file for $1. I took some designer paper by Paper Studio (from Hobby Lobby) and measured it to fit. I used mono to attach it to the file but wasn't sure how to make sure the sides stayed (I thought about trying Mod Podge but didn't and I JUST now remembered I bought some spray adhesive the other day at WM that I could have tried and forgot about). I ended up taking clear packing tape and taped the sides down. I cut out Big Bloom images and stuck them on and wrote on the big one Wish Rak images. I have them divided inside by the wish. I'm so excited that I was able to do this!

3 More Cards

A little while ago I started seeing these cute little monkey stamps- especially on Beate's blog. I found out they were made by Stampendous and were called Changito Monkeys. I love monkeys- I am a huge Curious George fan (so if anyone knows where I can get stamps of him let me know) so I put in a wish on the WRAK forum on SCS for these images. I received them last week in the midst of moving so while I was at my crop/stamping thing this past weekend I decided to play with them. I used a color combo from the new catty. I'll be doing these in three different posts just to make it easier. On the second and third posts I won't have any commentary- just details. Enjoy!
